ETIDC Infusion Center

The infusion center at ETIDC provides antimicrobial infusion therapy, immunoglobulin therapy and intravenous hydration. Upon physician referral our center also provides Remicade infusion for patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Crohn's disease, Cytoxan infusion for patients with lupus, Solu-Medrol and Tysabri infusion for patients with Multiple Sclerosis and intravenous agents used for osteoporosis (e.g. Boniva, Reclast.) Outpatient antimicrobial treatment is administered under physician direction and may be received in the infusion center or, if possible, the patient and/or caregiver may be trained to administer the antibiotic infusion at home.

  • Types of infection that can be treated in the outpatient setting include:
  • Complicated skin and soft tissue infections (cellulitis)
  • Bone and joint infections
  • Bacteremia (blood stream infection)
  • Wound infections
  • Complicated urinary infections
  • Pneumonia

We have specialized trained infusion nurses with over 18 years of experience in infusion therapy. Through the TIDC infusion center it may be possible to reduce your number of days in the hospital and in some circumstances avoid hospitalization entirely. This can allow for a quicker transition to home and recovery in the outpatient setting.
